SGU’s International Students Office (ISO) provides a wide range of assistance and resources to new and returning students to ensure they are well settled on campus. Both the university and Grenada offer a variety of dining and food shopping options on- and off-campus. On the campus the main form of travel is by the University bus taking students within and outside the campus. Students can take advantage of over 65 student organisations centred on different areas of student life including cultural, religious, social, academic, professional, and community service.

Careers at St. George's University

SGU provides comprehensive career support for its students. The Office of Career Guidance and Student Development (OCGSD) is designed to assist medical students in their pursuit of obtaining postgraduate residencies and postgraduate opportunities. Complete information on examination requirements, clinical timeline guidance, and obtaining postgraduate training is provided to help students navigate the residency application process.
The OCGSD also advises students on US Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) preparation, counsels’ students in specialty and residency selection, interview skills, resume and personal statement preparation.

City Life at St. George's University

SGU students can learn from four locations: Grenada, India, the UK and US.
The picturesque island of Grenada is English-speaking and located close to the US and Canada with flights from New York, Miami, Toronto, London, and Frankfurt. The average temperature in Grenada is 27 degrees. SGU offers a unique Caribbean study experience. The island of Grenada is home to some of the most varied terrain in the Caribbean, from mountains and rainforests to stunning mangroves and dwarf forests. Students can forge new friendships while enjoying a variety of activities including diving, kayaking, and windsurfing. Hiking through Grand Etang National Park is also not to be missed and offers students magnificent vistas and Caribbean stunning flora and fauna.
Students who choose to begin their medical education in the UK will study at SGU’s partner Northumbria University in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Newcastle is an iconic city in the North of England, with a contrasting blend of industrial heritage and stunning Georgian-era architecture. It is the friendly and modern heart of England.
In the last two years of the medical degree, students will do clinical rotations in the US or UK. SGU has long-standing relationships with many hospitals in the US, all the way from east coast to the west coast, as well as in the UK. A student who makes full use of all the clinical opportunities at SGU will graduate having experienced medicine as it is practiced and taught in Grenada, the US and the UK.
