Inspiring teaching?

‘A big part of choosing Newcastle was the modules I could study.?I took an introductory module on Quantum Computing. I got fascinated by the topic and?couldn’t?stop learning and reading about it.??

‘My lecturer made the topic so engaging.?He’s?one of the top researchers in the field according to UNESCO.’??

Industry experience?

‘The university’s?NCL Internship programme?has proved massively beneficial for me. These are part-time internships which you can?do during vacation periods or sometimes alongside your studies.??

‘Doing three of these internships, I got a lot of hands-on responsibilities and was accountable for everything I did. This helped me grow as a person and learn a lot more about how industry functions.’??

‘I was?very nervous?moving abroad.?I’d?never travelled outside of India before,?plus I?didn’t?know anyone before moving.??

‘The?university’s?airport?meet?and greet service?was a massive help to make me feel calmer about my arrival and getting to my accommodation. During the?International?Welcome?Week and?Freshers’?Week?the?events were?very helpful?and fun.?

Life in Newcastle?

‘What really surprised me is how easy it has been to fit in.?I’m?part of the?university?cricket club,?as?I used to play back home,?plus?the?Ultimate Frisbee Club and the International Society.?
